Dr. Yi Deng is a Research Scientist with Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of Virginia Tech. He got his Ph.D. from Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing, China in 2010. Then he joined Virginia Tech Blacksburg Campus in October 2010 as a research faculty. He is the associated editor of ACM Transactions on Embedded Computing Systems. He currently works on projects related to smart grid security, SCADA security. He is designing a Victual SCADA lab for ECE department and college of engineering for educational and research purpose. His research interests also include embedded system modeling, co-simulation, software and hardware co-design in embedded systems, software and hardware synthesis, high-performance embedded computing, and real-time signal processing.
